Yogurt Maker and Cleanup Specialist
Sidehill Farm, 58 Forget Road, Hawley MA
Averaging 18-20 hours per week. Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, approximately noon to 7 PM.
Sidehill Farm is a small dairy and creamery in Hawley MA, producing organic, grass-fed yogurt for distribution all around Massachusetts. We love good food, rewarding work, teamwork, and the occasional nacho party.
Join our yogurt-making team for packaging, cleanup, and production day wrap-up. Tasks will include packaging of yogurt, washing of yogurt-making equipment, operating milk pumps, running clean-in-place loops on vats and piping, and pH testing of finished yogurt at the end of the day. Alternating Mondays will entail larger scale or more detailed cleaning projects, working mainly on your own.
We are looking for someone who is clean and organized, can lift 40 lbs, who is always looking to improve their work, and who believes in the work we do here. This position is best suited for a person who enjoys cleaning, and a mix of team/ solo work, plus likes to laugh and have fun!
Possibility of additional hours, and increased hours and responsibilities over time, though this would not be required.
This job could be combined with the Yogurt Boxing position for an additional 7-10 hours per week.
Experience not required; we are happy to train a dependable person. Beginning pay rate of $18-20/ per hour, or according to experience.
